The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, frequently going well above and beyond what would even constitute good service. When I needed to bring a nice bottle of wine to dinner at a friend's, they looked around for a decent shop and even called ahead to make sure they were open. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, served in a beautiful glass veranda. The location in Friedrichshain can't be beat!

Pros of our stay: The location was mind-blowing, with easy access to the airport and a nearby metro station. The receptionist was super friendly, offering us a free drink while our room was being prepared. The cozy 1 bed room had clean showers and good noise insulation. The hotel also had a neat little lounge. The staff went above and beyond, accommodating all our requests with a jaw-dropping level of understanding. The VFM was absolutely amazing, with excellent airport connectivity and great accessibility to touristy spots. Plus, the streets nearby were filled with super cool restaurants, cafes, and bars, with a food market on Saturdays and a flea market on Sundays. a truly fantastic experience!

It was an enjoyable experience. Really enjoyed this low-budget hotel, nice and impeccable location and new-fashioned rooms. Everyone was extremely helpful and very amiable. The breakfast food was fab and included slices of fresh bread, cereals and cheese. In general the service was polite. Location: the property was short walk to multiple bars, restaurants, delis, and even a bordello, all in easy walking distance and Boxhagener Platz.

The Gold Hotel in Berlin was a great find for my budget trip. The value for money was excellent, with affordable prices and attention to detail throughout my stay. The location in a really good neighborhood with transit access made it so convenient for general sightseeing and exploring the city. The staff provided exceptional service, always friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped with basic amenities, including blackout curtains that ensured a good night's sleep. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it a delight to relax after a long day of exploring. The breakfast offered at this hotel was tasty and reasonably priced, a great way to start the day.
Everything was just fine, no complaints!

The staff was very friendly, and professional - always happy to help. The room was basic, but comfortable, a decent size with a large waredrobe, and very clean. Location was excellent, in terms of local transport. A good alternative to staying right in the middle of things - Alexanderplatz - where hotel prices are significantly higher. I also appreciated that there was a (very small) patio out the back where we were able to get some fresh air and relax without leaving the hotel. Close to lovely bars and restaurants.
Having a room in the front of house was very noisy at night/early morning. There was no air conditioning, and having booked a Double room, I was slightly annoyed to find two single beds shoved together. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and we weren't given a map on arrival, though a very helpful staff member gave me one when I asked for directions on my second day. Some people might not appreciate having to pay on arrival.

The staff were friendly and provided great service, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, with a very large window that overlooked the garden.
